Joyce Lundstrom, 88

LundstromJoyce C. Lundstrom, age 88, of Colon, passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2016, unexpectedly at her home.
Joyce was born Jan. 11, 1929, in Nottawa Township, a daughter of the late Clare C. and Cora M. (Carper) Bonham.
On April 2, 1948, she married Robert Lundstrom in Colon. He preceded her in death June 21, 2015.
She had lived most of her life in the Colon area, graduating from Colon High School, and continued her education at Glen Oaks Community College. She also had lived 14 years in the Los Angeles area.
Joyce had worked for and retired from Sturgis Hospital as an LPN. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Colon.
Joyce is survived by four children, Peggy (Ernest) Zierle of Lansing, Signe Lundstrom of Holt, Ingrid (William) Simpson of Indianapolis and Thomas Lundstrom of Madison, Wis.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marguerite Sprowl and Bernice Willard; and a brother, Robert Bonham.
As to her wishes, cremation has taken place. If desired, the family suggests memorials be made in memory of Joyce to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Colon.
The family was assisted by Schipper Funeral Home in Colon.
