Charles Oberlander, 79

Charles Raymond Oberlander, age 79, formerly of Three Rivers, died unexpectedly at his Kalamazoo home where he had resided the past 20 years. He was born in Three Rivers on April 30, 1937 the son of Charlie and Helen R. (Kline) Oberlander. After graduating from Three Rivers High School her served in the U.S. Air Force from 1959 to 1963. He was a service technician for many years at AHA Lift Truck, and attended the Calvary Bible Church in Kalamazoo. Charles was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and flying radio controlled airplanes.

Charles is survived by six children: Charlie Oberlander, Vicky Hall, Mary Lou Lopez, and Greg Oberlander all of Omaha, NE, Peggy Roach of Denver, CO
and Sherry Oberlander of Kalamazoo; twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his parents.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been conducted.
An interment service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 in Moorepark Cemetery. Memorials will be directed to the family.
