Judi Rudy, 78

Judith Ann Rudy, age 78, of Long Lake, Colon, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at Fairview Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Centreville.
Judi was born Oct. 10, 1938, in Chicago, a daughter of the late Randall and Dorothy (Nichols) Jacobson.
Judi grew up in Chicago, graduating from St. Dominic’s High School, and moved to Colon in 1999.
On Sept. 29, 1979, she married Jack Rudy in Las Vegas.
Judi had worked for CNA Insurance Company in Chicago for 43 years. She had been active in the support of Colon Food Pantry, the community park and Animal Rescue Fund.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Rudy, of Colon; three sisters, Nancy Rybak of Palatine, Ill., Margaret Jacobson of Elk Grove Village, Ill., and Marion Jacobson of Tacoma, Wash.; a brother, Randall “Skip” Jacobson Jr. of The Village, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Cutrone, Bonnie Hannah and Barbara Wassell.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or services at this time. The family was assisted by Schipper Funeral Home in Colon.
