Wayne Miller, 69

Wayne D. Miller, age 68, of Colon, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, unexpectedly at his home.
Wayne was born March 28, 1948, in Nappanee, Ind., a son to Roman E. and Malinda Mae (Kuhns) Miller.
On May 9, 1968, he married Wilma W. Bontrager in Centreville.
Wayne was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and had worked for Palameno RV in Colon for more than 18 years.
He is survived by his mother, Malinda Mae Miller of Wakarusa, Ind.; mother-in-law Lydia Mae Bontrager of Centreville; wife, Wilma W. Miller of Colon; 19 children, Leona Miller of Colon, William (Amy) Miller of Kalamazoo, Tobias (Erma) Miller of Colon, Melvin (Edna) Miller of Burr Oak, Daniel (Kathryn) Miller of Sturgis, Delbert Miller of Colon, Roman Miller of Colon, Solomon Miller of Colon Elizabeth (Alvin) Hostetler of LaGrange, Ind., Monroe (Lydia) Miller of Nottawa, Malinda Miller of Colon, Lamar (Esther) Miller of LaGrange, Ind., Joshua (Lena) Miller of LaGrange, Ind., Mary , James, Steven, Emma, Calvin and Vera Miller all of Colon; 31 grandchildren; three brothers, Paul R. (Katherine) Miller, Daniel L. (Mary Ann) Miller and Steven A. (Fanny) Miller all of Nappanee, Ind.; three sisters, Elizabeth Ann (Ervin) Lehman of Leesburg, Ind., Mary Etta (Robert) Hostetler of Milford, Ind. and Vera Mae Miller of Sarasota, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
Wayne was preceded in death by an infant daughter Lena W. Miller; his father, Roman E. Miller; father-in-law William Bontrager; and sister-in-law Esther Bontrager.
The family will receive relatives and friends after 12 noon today and all day Tuesday at Wayne’s residence, 29361 Spring Creek Road, Colon, MI 49040. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.at the Melvin Hostetler residence at 25938 Truckenmiller Road, Centreville, MI 49032 with home ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Order Amish Cemetery.
The family was assisted by the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. in Colon.
