Centreville Public Schools Board of Education President Heather Bright said a slate of five semi-finalists was narrowed to three following interviews this past weekend.
The finalists are Stephanie Lemmer, director of Head Start at Kalamazoo RESA; Tim Donahue, superintendent at Potterville Public Schools; and Corey Helgesen, superintendent at Litchfield Community Schools.
Lemmer will be first Saturday, as she is in line for a 9 a.m. interview. Helgesen is next at 10 a.m. and the interviews will conclude with Donahue, who is scheduled for 11:45 a.m. Interviews will take place in a public forum at the high school library.
Bright said the district is fortunate to have had a response from such a strong group of candidates. Bright said she sees the district would be well served by any of the three finalists..
The board expects Centreville’s new superintendent to begin work July 1.
The posted salary is between $100,000 and $110,000 annually. Current superintendent Rob Kuhlman is retiring in June after a seven-year run as chief of the 800-student district.
