Mary Miller, 83

Mary Louanne Miller, 83, of White Pigeon, died Saturday, March 18. 2017, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo following a short illness.
She was born Oct. 16, 1933, in Three Rivers, the daughter of Newman and Jeanette (Combs) Drew. She lived in the White Pigeon area all of her life and was a graduate and valedictorian of the White Pigeon High School Class of 1951.
She was employed as a secretary and study hall clerk for White Pigeon Schools and was later employed as a secretary for Coachman Industries of Middlebury, Ind. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Pigeon where she was a volunteer worker, an avid reader and enjoyed attending basketball games. She was a season ticket holder at Notre Dame. She most of all enjoyed time with her family.
On Nov. 3, 1951, she married C. Henry Miller at St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Pigeon. He survives with her children Steve (Beckie) Miller of Vicksburg, David (Sherry) Miller of Elkhart, Ind., Patty Miller of Boulder, Colo., Tim (Troya) Miller of Constantine; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Karen (Dennis) Kaminski of Dayton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Jack Drew.
Visitation will be from 5-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday March 22, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Pigeon with Rev. Evelio Ramirez officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
