Conservation District plans golf outing

The St. Joseph County Conservation District is seeking sponsors and participants for its annual golf outing fundraiser.
The scramble will take place with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. May 6 at Sauganash Golf Club in Three Rivers.
Event organizers said proceeds will go to support the various causes backed by the Centreville-based agency. Those include programs such as salmon in the classroom, a tree for every fifth-grade student in the county, river cleanup, Bug Brigade, water-quality monitoring and
the county’s ReLeaf program.
Cost is $60 per person, and includes lunch and prizes.
Prospective participants can sign up by calling the district at 467-6336, Ext. 5.
