Jerry Mitchell, 55

Jerry A. Mitchell, age 55, of Vandalia, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017 in St. Joseph, MI at Lakeland Medical Center who wonderfully served Jerry and his family.
He was born January 29, 1962 in Fairbury, IL the son of Ivan (Ike) E. and Fannie C. (Avery) Mitchell.
Jerry enjoyed spending time with friends.
Surviving is his mother, Fannie Mitchell of Decatur, MI who loved him very much; one brother, Glen Mitchell of Decatur, MI; two uncles, Otto Avery of Burr Oak, MI and Arthur Avery of Tampa, FL. He was preceded in death by his father Ivan (Ike) E. Mitchell.
Visitation will be held at Noon on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Volinia Baptist Church, Volinia, MI with a memorial service to follow at 1 PM with Pastor Thomas Stout officiating.
