Carolyn Faye (Llewellyn) Babcock, age 82, of Three Rivers, passed away in her sleep on Sunday, April 9, 2017, after a short but hard fight with cancer.
She was born the daughter of the late Roy and Ardath (Dinsmore) Llewellyn.
On Feb. 14, 1956, she married Lloyd Babcock Jr. He preceded her in death.
Carolyn had worked and retired from Lear Plastics in Mendon. She had been a member of the UAW #503 and a member of Women’s VFW Auxiliary of New Marshfield, Ohio.
Carolyn loved time spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
She is survived by five children, Phillip Llewellyn of Naples, Fla., Pam (Leroy) Pugh of Burr Oak, Bill Babcock of Three Rivers, Joy (Robert) Harris of Richards, Texas, and Curtis Babcock of Three Rivers; eight grandchildren, Wendy McCartney, Tim (Lyndsay) Pugh, Amy Pugh, Shawna Babcock, Taffi Babcock, Terri Babcock, Curtis Babcock and Christopher Babcock; five great-grandchildren; Ryan McCartney, London Chapman, Emprys Gabriel, Clint Blanks and JaMarcus Blanks; two sisters, Pat Llewellyn and Kathy (Charles) Llewellyn, both of New Marshfield, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Babcock Jr.; a son, Laird Babcock; two grandsons, Tim McCartney and Dustin Babcock; a great-grandson, Camphor Tomet; brothers Max, Bill and Laird Llewellyn; and sisters Virgene Martin, Marion Llewellyn, Margaret Byrd and Gail Pierce.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service celebrating the life of Carolyn Babcock will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Schipper Funeral Home in Colon, with the Rev. David J. Farrell officiating.
