Margaret L. Willis, 93, of White Pigeon, died Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers.
She was born Nov. 2, 1923, in Kalamazoo, a daughter of Loren and Lois (Baugh) Beach.
She had been a resident of White Pigeon since 1940, and graduated from White Pigeon High School in 1941 as class valedictorian.
She was a homemaker, and also was employed as an office worker for Continental Can and Sturgis Hospital, in patient accounts.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, where she was treasurer and a member of church circles. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery, reading, gardening and, most of all, her family.
On July 25, 1941, she married Elmer L. Willis in White Pigeon. He died March 16, 1984.
She is survived by three daughters, Janet (Tim) Reid of Howe, Ind., Laura (Sam) Jackson of White Pigeon and Elaine Willis of Elkhart, Ind.; two sons, Gary Willis of White Pigeon and Donald Willis of Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Piehl; and a brother, Loren Beach.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ed McCutchan of the United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in White Pigeon Township Cemetery.
