Mary Lou Hines, age 86, of Three Rivers, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 10, 2017. She was born in Chicago on May 18, 1931 the daughter of Theodore and Ora Lee (Edwards) Shaw. She was united in marriage to Albert Hines, Jr. on June 10, 1950 in Chicago. While living in Chicago she was a homemaker who also worked at a commercial laundry. After moving to Three Rivers she was employed at Fairview Nursing Home in Centreville. Mary Lou enjoyed sewing, baking, and cooking for her family. She had attended the Grant Chapel in Three Rivers, and in 2005 established her ministry known as House of God In Jesus Christ.
Mary Lou is survived by a son, Armand (Alma) Howard of Belize; a daughter, Regina (Jamal) Thykata of Oswego; 2 granddaughters, Shuquanta Buckley and Khalilah Howard; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Carol (Robert) Scott, Beatrice Redditt, and Audrey Bailey; a brother, Gifford (Veronica) Stiger; several nieces and nephews; and by her friends, neighbors, and church family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert Hines; a daughter, Andrea Ysaguirre; 4 sisters, Elsie Davis, Glenda Tolbert, Kathleen Parker, and Nester Elison.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan. Memorial donations will be directed to the family.
