Former Sturgis teacher resigns

Keith Lang has tendered his resignation at Sturgis Public Schools.
Early this year, the former Sturgis High School teacher was charged with multiple counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct and other offenses.
At that time, a police investigation showed he allegedly had a sexual relationship with a minor student.
He initially was charged with single counts of distributing or promoting child sexually abusive activity, using a computer to commit a crime, possession of child sexually abusive material, distributing sexually explicit visual or verbal matter of children and three counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a student.
Allegations had gone back to 2011, according to authorities. Lang had been a teacher at Sturgis High School since 2004.
