Shane Andrew Richardson, age 29, of Constantine, died Thursday, July 20, 2017. His life was tragically cut short and he died at Three Rivers Health emergency room of injuries from a gun shot.
He was born Nov. 5, 1987, in Sturgis, a son to Ronald “Rollo” and Judy (Vargo) Richardson.
Shane had been a resident of Sturgis all of his life and graduated from Sturgis High School with the class of 2006. He then received his associate’s degree from Glen Oaks Community College.
He had worked for several local manufacturing companies including Syndicate Systems in Middlebury, Ind., and most recently for Driveline Retail.
Shane’s most important things in life were family, friends, and just enjoying life. He loved his wife, Kaleena who he married March 26, 2016. He loved his children and couldn’t spend enough time with them and always wanted to make memories with them. He enjoyed hunting especially the time he spent hunting with his uncle Eric, he enjoyed his motorcycle, fishing, dancing and having a good time with his friends. He had a million dollar smile and an infectious laugh that was unmistakable. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife: Kaleena; children: Alexis, Raegan, Langston, and Amelia who is expected in November; his father: Ronald “Rollo” Richardson; his mother: Judy Vargo; a sister: Lindsay (Scott) Saunders; a brother: Nick Sample; and many, many, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, one aunt: Teresa Heiber, and his best friend: Jim Carlson.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, at the Radiant Life Church (Wesleyan), 907 N. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091.
Services celebrating the life of Shane Richardson will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the Church with Rev. Amy Kemp, Riverside Church of Three Rivers, officiating.
Interment and graveside services will follow in Peak Cemetery, Constantine. The family suggest memorial donations be directed to the family for Amelia’s future education, envelopes are available at the church or the Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091 who has been entrusted with the arrangments.
