Don Chenoweth, 78

Donald M. Chenoweth, age 78, of Constantine, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Fairview Nursing Home. He was born in Middlebury, IN on July 3, 1939, a son of Elmer Chenoweth and Lucille (Schumacher) Lovejoy. He graduated from White Pigeon High School went on to obtain a Microbiology Degree from Michigan State University. He was previously married to Diana (Koepke) Chenoweth. Don was a farmer his entire life. He also worked at multiple trailer factories for 10+ years, was a truck driver, and worked at the V.A. in Washington DC and Pennsylvania as a microbiologist for 10 years. He enjoyed old tractors, deer hunting, and farming.

Surviving Don are brother Glenn (Sandy) Lovejoy of White Pigeon, sister Dolores (Ron) Kulp of Constantine, sister Lois (Pedro) Perez Zavala of Jones, sister Linda (Jerry) Fair of Marcellus, and brother David (Julie) Chenoweth of Three Rivers, several nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and June Chenoweth and Glenn and Lucille Lovejoy and wife Diana.

Relatives and friends will be received on Tuesday from 1-3 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Constantine with religious services following at 3PM. Pastor Dennis Smith will officiate. Interment will occur in Constantine Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.eleyfuneralhomes.com.
