Judith Rasmussen, 69

Judith L. Rasmussen, age 69, of Cassopolis, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
She was born November 8, 1947 in Mishawaka, the daughter of Arthur and Euretha (Troupe) Gillam. On October 22, 1988 in Volinia Township she married Harry R. Rasmussen III and he survives.
Judith graduated from Mishawaka High School with the Class of 1966. She went on to attend Bethel College and Southwest Michigan College. She was in the Army Reserves from 1980 to 1988. Judith loved teaching Sunday school to the children at church.
Surviving besides her husband Harry, are three sons, Eric Hapner of Middlebury, IN, Alan Hapner of Cape Coral, FL and Rob Rasmussen of Mason, OH; one daughter, Tonya McKee of Jones, MI; one sister, Diana Snyder of South Bend, and one brother, Micheal Gillam of Osceola, IN; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jack Gillam.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends 11 am to 12 PM Saturday, August 26, 2017 in the Volinia Baptist Church with memorial services immediately following at noon. Burial of cremains will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. A luncheon will follow burial at Volinia Baptist.
