Norine L. Antuck, age 84, of Lansing, and formerly of Colon, passed away Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, at Grandhaven Living Center in Lansing.
Norine was born Jan. 25, 1933, in Colon, a daughter of the late Chauncey and Roberta (Robbins) Walker.
Early in life, Norine lived in Colon, graduating with the class of 1950. She continued her education at Mercy College in Detroit and Battle Creek, obtaining a registered nursing degree in 1953.
On Aug. 6, 1960, she married Wallis M. Antuck in Battle Creek. He preceded her in death May 11, 2007.
Norine had worked and retired from Spearow Hospital in Lansing as a surgical RN. She was a talented quilter and active in several quilting guilds in Lansing. She was a member of Faith Church in Lansing.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Lenora Rathbun and Ruby Post.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Marda Miller; and a brother, Darwood Walker.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside memorial service and burial of ashes will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017, at Lakeside Cemetery in Colon. If desired, memorials may be made in memory of Norine to either Colon Historical Society, P.O. Box 136, Colon, MI 49040; or Faith Church (Missional Communities Ministry), 2300 Lake Lansing Road, Lansing, MI 48912.
The family was assisted by Schipper Funeral Home in Colon.
