Lee W. Brown, 70, of Sturgis, died Sunday June 28, 2009, at the VA Medical Center in Battle Creek.
He was born July 1, 1938, in Coldwater, to William and Charlotte (Sours) Brown. Lee married Joyce Hearld, Nov. 27, 1968, in Sturgis.
He served with the U.S. Army from 1962-1964. He enjoyed classic cars and racing cars at Butler Speedway in his younger years. He was employed with Processed Metals in White Pigeon for 32 years.
Lee is survived by his wife Joyce of Sturgis; a son, John (Krystal) Brown of Sturgis; daughters, Katheana (Jose) Catro of Coldwater and Charity Brown of Sturgis; nine grandchildren; a brother, Richard Brown of Coldwater; a sister, Alice Crossgrove of White Pigeon.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Mason Cemetery in Coldwater. Visitation will be at 2 p.m. at Gillespie Funeral Home, Coldwater, until the graveside service.
