Barbara Joy Carman, 78, of Centreville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at Grace Healthcare in Three Rivers.
She was born March 31, 1939, in Wayne County, to the late Robert & Helen Marie (Davidson) McLean.
On Nov. 15, 1969, she married Michael Owen Reardon. He preceded her in death Jan. 2, 1988.
Surviving are three daughters, Donna Christina Gallnitz-Frisoska of Sturgis, Betty Reardon (Robert Bauman) of Sturgis, April Taylor-Ebert (Douglas R. Jr.) of Centreville; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Helen Leonard of Dade City, Fla., Georgia “Irene” ( John “Red”) Loy of Spring Hill, Fla., and Cecilia (Timothy) Reardon of Centreville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Lydia Taylor, Jean “Gail” Young and Nancy McLean; two brothers, Bob Taylor McLean and George Brian “Bud” McLean; a son, John Michael Owen Reardon Jr.; and a grandson, Joseph Michael Reardon.
Barbara was employed for more than 20 years with WG Wade Shows-Friendly Franks Amusements and most recently was a homemaker. She was a member of New Hope Church in Sturgis, a member of Bunco Club for over 20 years, enjoyed reading, playing bingo and going to casinos.
A celebration of life service for Barbara will be held at a later date. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with her care. Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society or to the Hospice of the donor’s choice.
