Cheryl L. (Hart) Tubbs Rodriguez, age 64, of Spring, Texas, and a former Sturgis resident, passed away Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at Houston Memorial Hospital in Houston.
She was born March 11, 1953, in Sturgis, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Carolyn (Besser) Hart.
Cheryl graduated from Sturgis High School with the class of 1972.
She was employed for A&W Root Beer, Sears and Kirsch Company before going to college for physical therapy and massage therapy and moved to Houston to work for various healthcare organizations.
In 1987, she married the love of her life, William Rodriguez.
She loved animals, as she had horses, cows, chickens, cats, snakes and dogs. She lived life to its fullest and was loved by everyone she met.
Surviving are her husband, William; a son, Brett (Annette) Tubbs of Huntsville, Texas; two brothers, Marty (Carolyn) Hart and Brian Hart, all of Sturgis; and numerous aunts, uncles and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and first husband, Richard Tubbs.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. She has been scattered in the Gulf of Mexico.
