Larry Sanford, 75

Larry L. Sanford, age 75, of Colon, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, at his home.
Larry was born March 13, 1942, in Sturgis, a son of the late Marshall L. and Marie (Snow) Sanford.
He had lived most of his life in the Colon area, graduating from Colon High School with the class of 1960.
On Aug. 12, 1988, he married Sandy Collyer in Centreville.
He had worked as a woodworker for several area businesses.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Sanford of Colon; children Velvet (Jay) Wunder, Gary (Michelle) Sanford and Sherrie (Terry) Collins, all of Florida, three grandchildren; two stepchildren, Missy (Dominic) Tormen and James (Sarah) Smith, all of Battle Creek, a brother, Tommie (Cindy) Sanford of Sturgis; and a sister, Nancy (Monte) Ray of Sherwood.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services are planned.
Private interment of ashes will take place at a later date in Matteson Township Cemetery. The family was assisted by Schipper Funeral Home in Colon.
