Stephen Shank, 50

Stephen Francis Shank, age 50, a lifelong resident of the White Pigeon area, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at his home.
Stephen is survived by his parents; and siblings Carrie Shank and Andrew Shank, both of White Pigeon, and Michael A. Shank of Grand Rapids. He also is survived by a niece, Madeline Shank; and a nephew, Michael J. Shank, both of Grand Rapids.
Stephen was born Oct. 20, 1967, in Elkhart to Donald and Billie Shank. He attended White Pigeon schools and worked in various capacities over the years.
Stephen was a generous and devoted friend and a very compassionate and caring person. He enjoyed traveling the open road while delivering vehicles, as well as riding Amtrak across the country. He was an empathetic soul who listens to others and helped in whatever way he could. Despite the physical pain that he lived with, his attitude and spirit were always positive. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
Visitation is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 2, at the funeral home.
