Charles O. “Chuck” Crossgrove, age 88, of Constantine, died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center. He was born in Three Rivers on Jan. 11, 1930 the son of John B. and Emily Jane (Hooker) Crossgrove and was a lifetime resident of the area. After serving in the US Army, Chuck was employed at the Three Rivers and Constantine paper mills, retiring in 1993. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Chuck was married to Eunice Varner on Nov. 25, 1954 in Constantine. He is survived by his wife of 63 years and by four children, William (LuAnn) Crossgrove of Centreville, Penny (Dick) Silvers of Three Rivers, Frances McCallie of Constantine, and Karen (Don) Bigelow of White Pigeon; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by two brothers and three sisters.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers. Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the funeral home with Rev. David Peterson, Pastor of the Centreville Baptist Church officiating.
