Rudy R. Yoder Jr., age 60 years, 9 months and 1 day, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018, at his home in Colon.
Rudy was born Aug. 14, 1957, in Orville, Ohio, a son of the late Rudy C. and Mattie (Yoder) Yoder.
On Nov. 15, 1979, he married Mary Petersheim in Harmony, Minn.
Rudy had owned and operated R and R Horseshoeing in Lakeview. He was a member of Old Order Amish Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting and going to auction sales.
Rudy is survived by his wife, Mary Yoder, of Colon; two sons, Henry (Ella) Yoder and Reuben (Amelia) Yoder, both of Lakeview; two daughters, Verna Yoder and Katie Ann (Joni) Miller, both of Colon; nine grandchildren; Kristina, Eli, Marvin, Atlee, Henry, Miriam, Rudy, Lewis and Andy Detweiler; four brothers, Sam (Emma) Yoder, John Yoder and Enos (Carolyn) Yoder, all of Goshen, Ind., and Ananias Ray (Mary) Yoder of Middlebury, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Ada Yoder of Apple Creek, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ben Yoder; and a sister-in-law, Delilah Yoder.
The family will receive relatives and friends all day today (5-15-18) at the Levi Schmucker residence, 58752 M-66, Centreville. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at the Schmucker residence. Burial will follow at Old Order Amish Cemetery in rural Centreville.
The family was assisted by Schipper Funeral Home in Colon.
