Patricia Ann Quirin, age 84, of Sturgis, passed away May 13, 2018, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
She was born March 14, 1934, in Kalamazoo, a daughter of the late Warren Burnette and Gladys June (Shigley) Clancey.
Pat was a longtime Sturgis and also lived in Portage for many years, where she graduated from Portage schools and continued her education at Parson Business College.
Pat was a self-employed accountant and had worked at Kalamazoo Creamery at one time.
She was an active member of Sturgis Lions Club, Red Hat Society, Sturgis Garden Club and the local TOPS. She was a strong supporter of Leader Dogs for the Blind and she loved her dogs.
She is survived by a son, Brian (Dawn) Quirin of Centreville; five grandchildren, Tyler Dearduff, Michal (Olivia) Kemp, Chantelle Kemp, Matthew (Ashley) Quirin and Logan Quirin; two great-grandchildren, Thea Kemp and Braxton Kemp; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sisters, Joan Rantz and Barbara Grucinski.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Pat’s life will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, August 18th, with a time of sharing memories at 6 p.m., at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be directed to Sturgis Lions Club.
