Joe Belshaw, age 83, of Three Rivers, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born in Hammond, Indiana on July 22, 1934 the son of Marshall Elliot Belshaw and Stella Arlene (Newkirk) Belshaw. He attended schools in Indiana and served in the U.S. Air Force. Joe has been a southwest Michigan car dealer for the past 50 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Elks, and Eagles lodges all in Three Rivers.
Joe was married to Mary Ann Tatara on April 4, 1964 in Munster, Indiana. She survives along with their daughter, Kelly Belshaw of Three Rivers. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother and sister in law, Jack and Nadean Belshaw; and by two nephews, Rick and Ted Belshaw.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 4 to 6 PM at the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel, 305 Rock River Ave., Three Rivers. A private interment of his ashes will take place later.
