Dorothy Jane Green, age 76, of Three Rivers passed away at her home on Thursday, May 24, 2018. She was born in Tony, WI on April 2, 1942 the daughter of John M. and Maude M. (Keys) Ersland.
Dorothy loved going out west and would reminisce about the trips her and Chuck would take. She loved to fish and camp. Many times you would catch her listening to her “Cubbies” play ball or watching a football game. Dorothy adored her great, great nephew, Chad and was always telling her friends about his last baseball game she went to. She would bake the most amazing cinnamon rolls at Christmas time and was always finding something new to make. Even though Dorothy never had children of her own, she easily became a mother & grandmother figure to her niece, Jeanne and great-niece, Sheila, when Marjory passed in 1995. She loved them something fierce and was always there to keep them in line.
She was preceded in passing by husband Charles E. Green; brothers, Joe, George, Lester, Lawrence and Lloyd Ersland; sisters, Velma Hatfield, Emma Kroll, Marjory Brown, Florene Laruie and Violet Butler; and great-nephews, Chad and Daniel Vicsik.
Surviving to cherish Dorothy’s memory are sister, Judy Reed; brother-in-law, Ken Brown; many nieces and nephews; and cherished friends.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of memorial services beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor Marilyn Schlimgen officiating.
