Police release name of shooting victim

A few details have come to light regarding a weekend shooting incident in Three Rivers.

The victim was identified as a 31-year-old Sturgis man who was treated at Three Rivers Health and later released. He was injured following an incident outside Paul’s Pantry around 7 p.m. Sunday.

State police said a group of four people were ordered to leave the store after they were arguing inside the business. Once in the parking lot, one of the four men fired a handgun and at least one of the shots struck the Sturgis man.

He left the scene in his own vehicle but was then transported to the hospital from a location a few blocks away, authorities said.

The gunman remains at large.
