Area schools provide meals during summer

Four area school districts will take part in the annual “Meet Up and Eat Up” program this summer.

The free meals will be offered to anyone 18 years of age and younger and available for the balance of the summer.

The Centreville Public Schools program runs June 25 to Aug. 2, with breakfast and lunch offered Monday through Thursday at the elementary school cafeteria.

Three Rivers Community Schools will serve meals Monday through Thursday from June 19 through July 26 at Barrows, Hoppin and Andrews schools. Breakfast and lunch are served at different times at each of the sites.

Constantine Public Schools will provide breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday from June 11 through Aug. 10 at its high school. Constantine schools will also distribute lunch weekdays during the same time period at Mason Township Library in Cass County and Mills Grocery in Union.

Sturgis Public Schools plans to serve breakfast and lunch five days a week June 18 through Aug. 17 at Eastwood, Wall, Congress and Wenzel schools, Thurston Woods Park and Central Commons.

More information about the free meals is available from each of the participating school districts.
