MDHHS seeks public comment on grant

Public comment on an application to be submitted by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is being accepted through Friday.

The public comment centers on the Title V Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grant, which provides funding to improve the health of mothers, infants and children, including children with health-care needs.

Based on a needs assessment, the seven priorities for the state for 2016-2020 are aimed at improving the health of the MCH population in seven different areas, including promoting social and emotional well-being through the provision of behavioral-health services.

MDHHS welcomes comments on the application, which must be received by 5 p.m. Friday and can be submitted by email to: daviss11@michigan.gov.
