Floyd Ray Eichorn, age 87, of Three Rivers, formerly of Marcellus, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Three Rivers Health surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 7, 1931 in Clarence, New York the son of the late Lewis and Ida (Troyer) Eichorn.
Floyd has been a long-time resident of this area where he and his wife and family spent many days working the family farm. Floyd and Marnetta were self-employed carpet layers and worked together for 18 years. Floyd was a faithful and verdant member of Edwards Corners Bible Church. Floyd loved to work with his hands. He tinkered with woodworking and even built his own mini train set and landscapes. Floyd had a passion for visiting with friends and family and loved to tell stories.
Floyd was preceded in death his parents, one daughter, Judy Rochon, four sisters and three brothers.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, wife of 67 years Marnetta Mae (Hooley) Eichorn, of Three Rivers; two sons, Joseph (Pamela) Eichorn, of Three Rivers, and Jay (Evelyn) Eichorn, of The Plains, VA.; two daughters, June Evans, of Three Rivers and Jenny (William) Curtis, of Marcellus, brother Paul (Fran) Eichorn of Centerville.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the Hohner Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Edwards Corners Bible Church 51047 Chamberlain Rd., Marcellus, with Pastor Joshua Wiggins officiating.
Interment will be held in Locust Grove Cemetery, Burr Oak.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Edwards Corners Bible Church. Envelopes are available at Hohner Funeral Home and the church.
