Susanne “Susie” Latson Hess, age 71, of Marcellus, formerly of Niles, passed away early in the morning Tuesday, August 21, 2018.
She was born in Niles on March 30, 1947, the daughter of Harold and Millicent Ann (Milham) Latson.
On August 02, 1948 Susanne married the love of her life Donald A. Hess, Jr. in Niles. They were married for 49 years, and had one son: Scott (Emily) Hess, who survives.
To many, Susanne was known as “Susie”. She loved traveling and experiencing new things. In 20 years, she had travelled the world and lived in places like Kathmandu, the Capital of Nepal, Accra, Ghana in Africa, and London, England.
Susie graduated from Niles High School and went on to get her bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences. Later on Susanne worked professionally as a child protective service social worker and worked at Skilled Care Nursing Homes for many years.
Surviving are her beloved husband Donald A. Hess, Jr. of Marcellus, one son: Scott (Emily) Hess of California, and one sister: Mary Jane (Art) Armstrong of Harsenson Island, MI, and one grandson: Aidan Hess.
