Marcia Ross, 79

Marcia J. (Batten) Ross, age 79, of Sherwood, passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, in Sturgis.
Marcia was born April 12, 1939, in Mendon, a daughter to the late Earl and Mary (Neddo) Batten.
On Feb. 24, 1968, she married Earl Ross Jr. in Leonidas.
Marcia had made her home in Sherwood for the past 45 years where she was a homemaker and had worked delivering newspapers.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Sturgis. Marcia enjoyed fishing, sewing, crocheting, reading, and time spent with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Ross Jr. of Sherwood; nine children, Arden Davidson of Battle Creek, Mark (Deb) Davidson of Kentucky, Morris (Joyce) Ross of Kinderhook, Mike (Vicky) Ross of Bronson, Tim (Janet) Davidson of Illinois, Bob (Lisa) Ross of Sturgis, Rod (Tammara) Ross of Memphis, Ind., Tammy (Rusty) Winston of Bronson, Michelle (Todd) Wallace of Bronson; 26 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Don Stofflet and Bud Batten; four sisters, Dorothy Boals, Bertha Ross, Eva Sandvig and Edna Thomas.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Church of the Nazarene in Sturgis. Funeral services celebrating the life of Marcia J. Ross will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, at the Church of the Nazarene in Sturgis with Rev. John L. Shoup officiating. Burial will follow in Matteson Township Cemetery. The family was assisted by the Schipper Funeral Home LTD in Colon.
