Florence Ingrid Drumhiller (Merrifield), 80, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2018.
Florence was born in Newberry, Mich., on Nov. 16, to the late James and Della Merrifield.
Florence spent her whole life in Colon and attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Colon. She was a member of the Red Hats, Colon Chapter.
Florence loved to garden, and owned the Colon Village Posey in the late 1980s to the mid 1990s. She loved spending time at the cabin she shared with her husband, fishing, and hosting friends and family. She especially enjoyed hosting “Camp Hormone” every year for years with her closest friends.
Florence also enjoyed traveling throughout the world with her sister Carolyn, her children and their families, and her best girlfriends.
She is survived by her children, Kelly Santoni, Ronald (Butch) Ward, Kim Ward, her sister Carolyn King, grandchildren, Tucker and Reilly Bernard and Austin Nusbaum, and her nieces Barbara Welke, Charlotte Thompson and nephew Steve King.
Her husband Carl, parents Della and Jim and baby Roger Carl preceded her in death.
A memorial will be held for Florence at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Schipper Funeral Home.
