Vonnie Sobie, 76

Lodema “Vonnie” Sobie, age 76, formerly of Constantine, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Fairview Nursing Home in Centreville. She was born in Tulsa, OK on July 29, 1942 a daughter of Norville and Ella Lodema (Bucklin) Rust.

Lodema graduated from Hillsdale Adult Education in the 1970’s. In 1959, she married Donald Inmon; they were later divorced. On February 2, 1979, she married Edward Sobie in Bronson. He preceded her in death on September 21, 2007. She enjoyed sewing, doing arts and crafts, and listening to 70’s country music. Vonnie attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sturgis and formerly Trinity Missionary Church in Constantine.

Surviving are her children Donna Cook of Montgomery, MI, Patricia Watson of Neosho, MO, Pamla Inmon of Bronson, Ruth (Ron) Sailor of Constantine, and John (Jamie) Sobie of Columbus, OH; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers Charles and Tony Rust; and previous husband Donald Inmon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Ronald Inmon.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI on Monday Oct. 22, 2018 at 1:00 PM.

Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
