Geraldine J. McCaslin, age 89, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully at Heartland Health Care Center on Sunday, November 25, 2018. She was born on March 29, 1929 in Kalamazoo, to Carl and Grace (Taber) Ryder.
Mrs. McCaslin attended Kalamazoo Central High School and graduated with the class of 1947. On September 20, 1947 she was united in marriage to the love of her life Donald E. McCaslin. Geraldine worked in payroll in Kalamazoo for Burroughs Manufacturing and also Union -Camp Corp. She later worked for King Motor Company while living in Florida. She was a long-time member of Westwood Church of God now Grace Harbor of Portage before moving to Three Rivers.
Geraldine is preceded in her passing by her parents, husband: Donald, children: Linda, Michael and David; granddaughter: Michelle; great granddaughter: Jensina; sisters: Wilma and Verna; brothers: Don, Carl, and Russell.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory Son: Pat (Kathy) McCaslin, Iowa; Daughter: Karen (Jim) Van Loo, Three Rivers; Brother: Richard (Christine) Ryder, New Hampshire; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Two great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of services beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 30th, 2018 at the Hohner Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Anderson officiating.
Interment will be held at Mt. Everest Memorial Park South, Kalamazoo.
Memorials made in Geraldine’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at Hohner Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
