Ted Streeter, 70

Theodore “Ted” Streeter, age 70, of Centreville, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born in Port Clinton, OH on March 16, 1948, a son of Wade and Irene (Binsack) Streeter. He graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1966 and then attended Kemper Military School in Missouri. Afterwards, he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Culver Stockton College in Missouri.

Ted owned and operated Streeter Insurance Agency in Bellevue, OH for 30+ years. On August 19, 2005, he married Diana Eckman in Centreville. He previously worked for Juvenile Day Treatment in Centreville, for Centreville Schools, and officiated local basketball, football, and softball games. Ted was an avid fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes. He loved eating breakfast with his ‘Breakfast Club’ at Main Street Café in Three Rivers.

Ted is survived by his wife Diana Eckman-Streeter of Centreville, daughters Stacy (Lance) Son and Shawna Streeter both of Columbus, OH, and their mother Diane Streeter of Columbus, OH; grandchildren Fischer, Peyton, Isaiah, and Hannah Son and Mereson Streeter Davis; children Cheri Hager Miller of Three Rivers and Josie (Tracy) Hager Pelmear of Centreville; grandchildren Autumn “Auti” Miller, and Troy and Nicholas Pelmear; several step children and grandchildren; and brother Donald (Rebecca) Streeter of Dayton, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents.

According to Ted’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday at Centreville United Methodist Church from 12 to 2PM, with a religious service following at 2. Pastor Emily Hansson will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospital Hospitality House of Southwest Michigan (www.hhhkz.org).
