Todd Poley, 52

Todd Allen Poley, age 52, of Sturgis, passed away Monday evening, Jan. 28, 2019, at the Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
He was born May 24, 1966, in Sturgis, a son of Roger and Marilyn (Carpenter) Poley.
Todd was a lifelong Sturgis resident and a graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1984.
On Sept. 18, 2004, he married Diane Barnett in Sturgis.
Todd was employed for several years at Dometic Corporation in LaGrange. He also had worked at Penguin LLC and Continental Accessories, both in Sturgis.
Todd enjoyed hunting, fishing, working outdoors in his yard and garden and woodworking. Often times he could be found walking his dog Ringo. Todd loved time spent with his family and the newfound relationship established with his son. Most everyone who knew him will forever remember his favorite story of having his band in the basement and his superb drumming skills.
He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Diane; his children, Nathan (Kristin) Poley of St. John’s, Susan (Scott) Bressler of Sturgis, Nick (Logan) Andrus of Sturgis, Sandy (Connor) Shear of Portland, Ore., Nancy Schultz of Sturgis and Carl (Lenae) Schultz of Coldwater; eight grandchildren; his father, Roger Poley Sr. of Hillsdale; his mother and stepfather, Marilyn and Jim Broadridge of White Pigeon; a brother, Roger (Regina) Poley Jr. of White Pigeon; and a nephew, Dylan (Shelby) Poley, serving in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Hood, Texas.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph James Andrus; and a nephew, Kyle Poley.
The family will receive friends from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis. Funeral services celebrating the life of Todd A. Poley will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Pastor Paul Pierucki of Bible Baptist Church of Constantine will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
