Carl Robinson, age 85, of rural Three Rivers died Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at his home following a long illness. He was born in Chicago, IL on June 6, 1933 the son of Ernest and Jessie (Hunter) Robinson. He graduated from Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in Blue Island, IL. Carl worked at a Cadillac-Buick dealership in Chicago for many years and attended the Greater Hope Baptist Church in Robbins, IL. He bowled in a mixed league in Chicago, enjoyed the outdoors, and travelling with his family.
Carl was married to Zenobia Taylor in Chicago, IL on Aug. 13, 1955. She survives along with three children, Virginia Thompson of Westchester, IL, Ronald (Yutime) Robinson of Robbins, IL, and Yvonne Williams of Mendon; fifteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gloria Artley of Three Rivers and Theresa Parker of Chicago; a brother, Bill Robinson of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Carl Robinson, Jr. and Donald Robinson; two sisters, Geraldine Ivy and Juanita Gregory; and by four brothers, Frank, Ernest, William, and James Robinson.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 1:00 pm Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home with Rev.
