Sandra Schulz, 73

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Kay (Hartzell) Schulz on Thursday March 28, 2019 after a long battle with COPD. Sandra passed at home with family present.
Sandra was born in Three Rivers on June 18, 1945 along with twin brother, Larry J. Hartzell, to Dorothy and Calvin Hartzell. Sandy is survived by her sons, Scott (Elizabeth) Schulz, Brad (Nicole) Schulz and sister Linda (Hartzell) Towles (Tom DelVecchio), several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brothers Larry J. Hartzell and William (Bill) R. Hartzell.
Prior to her retirement, Sandy worked many years at Owens-Illinois (Owens Brockway) in Constantine. She enjoyed hobbies of shopping antique and second-hand stores with her close friend Ann (Tim) Miller, to add to her collection of toothpick holders, of which she accumulated a large unique selection. They also enjoyed trips to the occasional casino, with other friends. Sandy was gifted with the talent of drawing and painting, other hobbies included upholstery and decorating her home. She loved spending time with her family.
As per her request, cremation has taken place with a private celebration of life to be held at a later date.
Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with her arrangements.
