DPS reminds residents of hydrant flushing

The Three Rivers Department of Public Services wishes to remind residents it is in the midst of its biannual hydrant flushing.

DPS director Amy Roth said flushing started earlier this month and will continue through May 17. Roth noted that flushing occurs 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday.

Due to many variables, Roth said she is not able to determine the exact date crews will be in each district, but the task started in the city’s First District, to be followed by Fourth, Second and Third districts.

Roth asks resident to be aware that some rusty water may be experienced during the process. Any prolonged problems should be reported to DPS at 273-1845.
