Linda Lou Ivins, age 66, of Marcellus, passed away late Friday evening June 7, 2019 at Borgess Hospital. She was born on June 15, 1952, in Three Rivers, the daughter of the late Robert and Vivian (Houldsworth) Bishop.
Linda graduated from Cedarville High School in 1971. She then moved to Three Rivers where she attended Glen Oaks Community College, graduating in 1972 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Linda worked at Borgess Hospital for over 30 years.
On July 14, 1973 she married Robert J. Ivins at 9th Street Methodist Church in Three Rivers. Together they have three children: Kurt (Abby) Ivins, Darrick (Jody) Ivins, and Rebecca “Becky” (Lowell Wilson) Ivins, siblings: Jim (Myriam) Bishop and Ann Carpenter; sister in-law: Marge Bishop; grandchildren: Macy, Maya, Bentley, Brynley, Berkley, Max, Margo, and Audrey Wilson.
Linda enjoyed camping, traveling, and quilting. She could always be found following her grandchildren’s many sporting activities.
She is preceded in her passing by her brother Robert Bishop, Jr.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at Hohner Funeral Home of Three Rivers on Saturday, June 22, 2019 with an hour of visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. and a funeral service starting at 12:00 noon with Pastor Bob Anderson officiating. Interment will be held at White Pigeon Cemetery following the service.
