A 28-year-old man was injured after he fell out of the bed of a moving pickup last weekend in Cass County’s Newberg Township.
Sheriff Richard Behnke said deputies were called at 4 a.m. Sunday to Hoffman Street, near Kirk Lake Road.
He said 21-year-old Marcellus resident Santanna Mosher was driving southbound on Cox Road and proceeded through a curve onto Hoffman Street. when Bryan Parson fell from the back of the vehicle.
Parson was treated on the scene by Newberg Ambulance and subsequently transported to Bronson Hospital.
Investigators said speed and alcohol were factors in the incident.
