Lawrence Lane, 91

Lawrence D. Lane, age 91, of Three Rivers, died on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019 at Rose Arbor Hospice following an extended illness.
He was born on July 10, 1928 in Three Rivers, the son of Lawrence F. and Adilla S. (Clark) Lane.
He was a resident of St. Joseph County and Three Rivers all of his life. He was employed by the City of Three Rivers for 35 years, 25 years as the Riverside Cemetery sextant. He was a member of the Three Rivers Moose and Eagle Lodges. He enjoyed time with his family, hunting, fishing, traveling, football and watching golf.
He was married to Ruth L. Burkett on July 5, 1947 in Three Rivers and she died on April 7, 2008. He is survived by his children William (Melissa) Lane, L. Clark (Alice) Lane, Jack (Amy) Lane; adopted daughters Lucy Mensah, Lethia Mensah; four grandchildren, several great grandchildren; sister Larella Irwin, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Merry Neal, brothers Leonard and Loren (Skip) Lane and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6, 2019 at the Eickhoff, Farrand, Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Interment of cremains will occur at Riverside Cemetery. Donations can be made to a charity of choice.
