County commission meetings remain the same

The time and days of St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners meetings will remain the same in 2020 as it was last year.

During Tuesday’s meeting, commissioners agreed to maintain their long-standing meeting time and days of 5 p.m. the first and third Tuesdays of the month.

In addition, its executive committee meetings will also remain the same this year as in 2019. The executive committee, which is comprised of all five board members and county administrator Teresa Doehring, will continue to assemble at 8 a.m. Wednesdays before county commission dates.

There are potentially two exceptions, however, due to holidays.

The Nov. 11 meeting will be moved back to Nov. 10, as Nov. 11 is a federal holiday. Commissioners also were made aware Nov. 25 is a day before Thanksgiving and they may exercise an option to either move the meeting back a day or cancel it altogether.
