Joan Elizabeth Fesler, age 74, of Three Rivers, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2020 at Ascension Borgess Hospital following a long illness. She was born in Kalamazoo on April 29, 1945 the daughter of Otis and Peggy (Snow) Roberts and attended Kalamazoo Schools. Joan has lived in Three Rivers since 1988, coming from Sister Lakes. While living in Three Rivers she worked as a waitress and cook at Doc’s Tap Room and at Sam’s Place. She enjoyed shopping trips and browsing for antiques.
Joan is survived by three children, Amy Pirkel and Wendy (Ron) Hammon both of Three Rivers and Terrell James “TJ” Fesler of Florida; ten grandchildren, Daniel Perkel, Justin Metheny, Joshua Perkel, Kody Matheny, Eric Fleck, Amanda Matheny, Levi Nothdruft, Madison Hammon, Megan Hammon, and Noah Hammon; seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Roberts; and by two granddaughters, Sarah Matheny and Jessica Brandon.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation will be conducted. A memorial celebration will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020 at New Hope Assembly of God, 56652 Buckhorn Rd., Three Rivers with Pastor Steve Miller officiating.
