John Golladay, Jr., 78

John Robert Golladay, Jr., age 78 of Marcellus, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020 at home.

He was born in Plainwell, Michigan on February 25, 1942 the son of John Robert, Sr. and Rose Mary (Hess) Golladay. On April 20, 1968, in Cassopolis, Michigan he married June Treasa Eagan who survives.

John was a Journeyman machine repair.

John loved his dogs, guns, fishing, coffee, goulash and listening to Country music. He had a great sense of humor and was very good with his hands: working on wood working projects, fabricating metal and he rebuilt at least four tractors.

John is survived by his wife June Golladay; two daughters Bobbie (Steve) Jackson of Three Rivers, Treasa (Tim) Ridenour of Marcellus, one son Michael John Golladay, Sr. of Jones; ten grand children; one great-grandchild; father John Golladay of ElFrida, Arizona; two sisters Rose Doest of Marcellus, Jackie (Lupe) De La Cruz of ElFrida, Arizona; one brother Terry Golladay of Alamagordo, New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.

John is preceded in death by his mother Rose Newman; and one brother Michael Golladay.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 1 PM Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Mater-Ralston Funeral Home, 52780 M-40 North, Marcellus. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM with Pastor John Messner officiating. Memorial donations may be directed to the Cass County Humane Society.
