Hackman Family Funeral Homes issued a statement regarding policy during the COVID-19 situation.
The company said the Hackman family is monitoring guidelines from CDC, National Funeral Directors Association and state and local Health Departments.
Safety measures include protocols related to cleaning and disinfecting before, during and after each service, with special attention to high-touch areas.
Due to recent mandates from the governor and other local officials, Hackman Family Funeral Homes will limit the number of people who attend funeral and visitation gatherings in the facility.
In an effort to minimize direct contact, the funeral home asks people to avoid shaking hands or making physical contact.
