David Edward Wolffradt, age 60, of Three Rivers, formerly of Detroit, MI. passed away on Friday, August 28, 2009 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born in Detroit, MI. on Feb. 27, 1949 the son of Robert Herman and Mary Magdalene (Morgan) Wolffradt.
David moved to Three Rivers in 1980 where he was employed by General Motors and later at American Axle in the Press Department. He was a former member the Three Rivers Eagles #2303 and loved to play golf and visit casino’s when he was able. His great loves were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as all of his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving family, long time companion, Alana Wolffradt, of Constantine, MI. and her children, Virgil (Chris) Dunham, of Constantine, and Dawn (Robert) Kaplansky, of Three Rivers; one brother, Mark (Marilyn) Wolffradt, of Dearborn, MI. ; two sisters, Shirley (Mark) Blanchet, of Dearborn Heights, MI., and Carol (John) Dwyer, of Novi, MI.; several nieces and nephews, and nine step-grandchildren and eleven step great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009 at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers, MI. with Deacon Bart Connelly as celebrant.
Interment of cremains will be held in Detroit at a later date.
