John Allen Cook, age 63, of Three Rivers, died Friday, June 12, 2020 at his home with his wife by his side. He was born in Detroit on July 25, 1956. He graduated from Three Rivers High School with the class of 1974. John worked at Coachman Industries in Middlebury, IAC in Mendon, and as a security guard in Kalamazoo. He was a much loved and simple man who enjoyed scrapping and tearing down items, tinkering in his garage, and having coffee and long talks with anyone who was with him. He especially loved time spent with his family.
John is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Ruthann (Timm) Walker. Also surviving are five children, Kassandra (Kevin) Hochstetler of Constantine, Rachel Hammond of Woodland Hills, UT, Holly (Jake) McDonald of Union, Rebekah (Eric) Demas of Constantine, and Michael (Lindsay) Walker of Marcellus; fourteen grandchildren, Autumn Demas, Brendan Walker, Gracie McDonald, Lexie McDonald, Jackson Hammond, Jaelynn McDonald, Lauren Walker, Eric Demas II, Kathryn Hochstetler, Gabriel Hammond, Troy Demas, Aimee Hochstetler, Evan Hammond, and Aaron Hochstetler. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by a brother, Kurt Cook.
In keeping with is wishes, cremation has been conducted and no services are planned. It is suggested that contributions be directed to the family, or to Heartland Hospice.
