Here’s the weekly update from Michigan Department of Transportation regarding the U.S. 131 reconstruction project in Three Rivers.
MDOT officials expect to introduce a new traffic pattern today, with two-way traffic to follow the new northbound side of U.S. 131.
Also, workers are expected to continue some utility-relocation work throughout the project. In addition, Millard Street will be fully reopened.
A few other matters to watch for: some mainline paving will be completed north of Michigan Avenue; Kerr Creek access is closed, though cul-de-sac construction is finished and will be paved as scheduling permits; paving of the multi-use path remains ongoing; and electrical subcontractors will be doing traffic-signal work at various locations.
Meanwhile, access will be maintained to businesses at all times, MDOT officials said.
